Your Guide to

Ischia

Stop the Clock. Ischia is the Amalfi Coast’s greener, more relaxed neighbour. Known for its thermal springs, lush hillsides and elegant seaside villages, the island offers a slower pace of life just beyond the mainland. Spend the day exploring colourful harbours, vineyard-covered slopes and hidden coves, before settling in to watch the sunset over the Bay of Naples.

Stop the Clock

The island of Ischia is like Capri - 100 years ago. Island taxis are three-wheeled agricultural vehicles reborn as tuk-tuks. The beach of Spiaggia Maronti beach hosts a tiny seafood eatery, Ristorante Emanuela, where the menu has remained unchanged since 1967. Ischia is as languid, liberal and lush as the thermal springs that warm the island’s forest interior.

Seafood. Culture.

On Ischia’s southern shore, the fortress town of Sant'Angelo is small but perfectly formed. An isthmus of beach separates a castle island from a postcard-perfect village. Local restaurants specialise in pizzas, gelatos and caffè affogatos, all of which look as good as the view of Capri beyond. For more sand, try Spiaggia Le Fumarole. It’s a short RIB ride - or splash-tastic kayak race - away. Here volcanic fumaroles bubble under the shore, rendering each swim a Jacuzzi bath.

Terraced hillsides cascade down to the sparkling blue waters of the Amalfi Coast, dotted with picturesque villages.
Lush green hills dotted with white buildings overlook a vibrant turquoise bay with a bustling beach and scattered boats.

360° Views

Want to view your next yacht charter destination? Down an espresso doppio and climb Mount Epomeo. You’ll burn serious calories while climbing Ischia's crowning peak. Chestnut trees and jade seas, plus wild mint and fragrant myrtle, colour your ascent. At the mountain summit spin 360°. Point to Procida, Ponza and Ventotene. Then call your crew to escort you back down to your waiting tender.

Your Guide to Ischia

Beaches & Sea Caves

The big news for yacht charter parties? Ischia was born in a volcanic explosion just 66,000 years ago. The island’s 34km coastline is stacked with impassable cliffs - that hide boat-only-beaches galore. Ask your crew to tender you to Varulo beach. It has a snorkel-friendly seabed rich with Neptune grass and baby fish. Visit Spiaggia San Pancrazio beach on your Ischia yacht charter; t is only for yachts - and is as removed from London's St Pancras as you can possibly get. Ischia even has its own Technicolor sea cave, the Grotta Verde. You can snorkel inside then swim back to your waiting tender.
