My Story

I'm a writer and producer originally from Northern Ireland, now based on the sun-soaked French Riviera. Storytelling has been the constant of my career. I spent years at the BBC as a television producer, working on award-winning programmes including The One Show, Blue Peter and Strcitly Come Dancing. From there I turned my attention to the page, contributing as a travel writer to international publications such as The Sunday Times, Mr & Mrs Smith and Business Insider. I am the author of the Fodor's Guide to Provence and the French Riviera.

At Y.CO I work as the editorial writer on the creative team, where my job is to tell the stories worth telling. Features and travel pieces for our Beneath The Surface section, interviews with the captains, brokers and crew who know these waters better than anyone, and the longer articles on sustainability and where yachting is going next. The variety is the joy of it, and the people I work with care, genuinely, about where the industry is heading.

When I am not chasing stories along the Cote d'Azur, you will most likely find me exploring the coastline by paddleboard. My secret superpower? The violin. I have been playing all my life and have been lucky enough to perform at London's Royal Albert Hall and alongside some of the biggest names in pop music.
