“I love the yachts, but ultimately it’s about understanding what people want and helping them create their ultimate tool for adventure.”

My Story

I have been sailing since I was five and later competed as part of the Swiss Olympic sailing team. It taught me to understand how small decisions influence the bigger picture and where to focus my energy to achieve the best result.

After more than 20 years in yachting, I still begin every client relationship by listening. Buying or building a yacht is a major decision, and my role is to understand what someone wants to achieve, then turn that ambition into a clear and realistic plan.

I have always been interested in yacht design, construction and emerging technology. This has led me to work with leading shipyards, designers and clients who are prepared to challenge convention, including developing solar-electric hybrid technology that was later made open source for the wider industry. I know the yachts, shipyards and market, but that knowledge is only valuable when applied to the right person in the right way. My aim is to help each client make informed decisions and create something that feels entirely their own.

Beyond Yachting

Outside work, I enjoy anything that gives me a sense of challenge. Wind foiling is a particular favourite, combining speed and balance with the satisfaction of getting better every time I go out. I also train regularly through CrossFit and enjoy both the intensity and discipline.

Travel is another important part of my life. I love discovering somewhere new, experiencing a different culture and stepping away from the usual routine. Much of my free time is spent with my four children, which keeps life full and rarely predictable. Whether we’re travelling, trying something new or simply at home, spending time with the family is what matters most to me.

What first drew me to yachting?

My passion for sailing, together with my competitive spirit, made yachting a natural fit for me.

What has experience taught me?

It has taught me to focus my time and energy where I can make the greatest difference for a client. That judgement becomes stronger with experience.

What are people usually surprised to learn about me?

I started sailing when I was only five years old, and that I am also a father of four.

What is the biggest misconception about what i do?

That my role is simply about selling yachts. In reality, it is about listening, advising and accompanying a client from their first yachting enquiry through to a purchase. That relationship can continue throughout the ownership of the yacht, including its management and eventual resale, and sometimes into the purchase of the next one.

What would I be doing if I were not working in yachting?

I would probably be working in the events and entertainment industry.

What is still on my bucket list?

To spend a year sailing with my family.
