Great service has always been part of my world. I grew up between the UK and the US with a restaurateur father, so I learnt early to anticipate what people need and pay attention to the details they shouldn’t have to think about themselves.
After studying Business Management, I moved to Dubai and worked for a premium airline before joining the yachting world. I spent several years working aboard superyachts and cruising through the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Caribbean and North America, before moving ashore into charter and later spending eight years in New York.
I’ve now spent 16 years in yachting and more than a decade planning charters. I take time getting to know my clients – what excites them, how they like to travel, how much they want planned and where there’s room to surprise them. Once I've worked that out, the possibilities are endless.
Outside of work I absolutely love discovering new restaurants and wine pairing, and one of my favourite memories is at the Grand Hotel Timeo in Taormina, Sicily with a delicious Nero D’avola in hand looking out across the sea. And when summer arrives, I love getting out on the courts and playing tennis.
A client who knows how they want to feel, but hasn’t decided exactly where they want to go. That’s when we can create something completely personal.
Every trip I take is different, whether I’m by the beach or in a city. I inevitably hit 10,000 steps while exploring, so having the right footwear is essential.
Sandy Island, just off Anguilla. There’s no dock, so you arrive by tender and wade ashore. It’s tiny and completely unpretentious — wooden benches, grilled seafood and local beers. The contrast with life on a superyacht is exactly what makes it so special.
Restaurants. I’m the person people message before a trip asking where they should book. The answer is very rarely just one place.
How a day is planned on holiday. I don’t want every minute scheduled, but I also don’t want to discover afterwards that an amazing little cove was ten minutes away and we missed it.
Being somewhere amazing and never leaving the hotel.
Food and wine. Not in a technical, sommelier way – more in a “tell me where you’re going and I’ll immediately start thinking about what you should eat there” way.
