My Story

I’ve always been drawn to adventure and being outdoors. I grew up sailing dinghies in the north of England, and that love of the water eventually took me into yachting, first as crew and now as a broker.

That time on board gave me a practical understanding of yachts that I still bring to my work today. Now, as a broker, I use that experience to look beyond the spec sheet and understand how a client actually wants to use their yacht and what they want from ownership.

I’m a big believer that preparation and attention to detail is what turns a good result into a great one. I bring this approach to every deal, combining my own experience with the knowledge and expertise across the Y.CO Team to help clients make the right decisions.

Beyond Yachting

Most weekends, I’m usually outdoors. In winter that might mean skiing in the mountains; in summer, being on the water, cycling the cols of the South of France or squeezing in a round of golf.

My wife and I love travelling and try to explore a new destination every year, ideally somewhere neither of us has been before.

Give me an early tee time, a few beers with friends and an evening at home with my wife and our dogs, and that’s a pretty good day.

What drew me to yachting?

A love of the water, adventure and hard work. Starting out as crew gave me the chance to combine all three, and ultimately build a career in an industry I genuinely enjoy.
